Detoxifying Chopped Chicken Salad

A great way to fill up on detoxifying foods is to combine them in a salad. I scoured the internet and came up with this great combination that is both delicious and satisfying. Make it as is or use it as a base to add your own favourite veggies: onions, peppers, beets, avocado, etc.


  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • 3 oz baby kale
  • 10 brussels sproutsKale brussel sprout salad
  • 8 oz broccoli
  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 500g cooked and diced chicken breast (or sub in your favourite protein)


  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tsp chia seeds
  • 4 tsp dijon mustard
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper


  • Finely chop all salad ingredients and combine with the chicken in a large bowl.
  • Combine dressing ingredients in a small food processor to blend or whisk by hand.
  • Pour the dressing over the salad and mix well.

Makes 5 servings.
