How Do I Get Started With a Personal Trainer

If you are interested in speaking to a Personal Trainer for more information, call (250) 762-7255 to get started and book your free consultation!

You will receive a Client Information Package to be completed and returned to the club. A TWP Personal Trainer will review your information and will consult with you about your goals, objectives and any obstacles or concerns you may have at your first session.

Most of you wouldn't know that Lisa started at TWP 7 years ago as an overweight, depressed pack -a-day smoker!  She is never proud of that story, but can tell you that she is forever grateful to TWP, and the people that encouraged and helped her to believe in herself throughout her journey! Lisa would head to the very back of the class (much like high school) and try to convince herself that she wasn't going to die, while admiring the more fit people in front of her. There were many members and trainers that she followed and slowly built a tribe with, without even knowing it was happening!  Soon Lisa was joining classes and groups that she never thought she would!  People made her feel so welcome and comfortable that it encouraged her to keep going. The healthier she got and the better she felt, Lisa wanted to pay it forward and encourage other people starting out!

Now as the owner of TWP she TRULY wants to keep that feeling alive at this incredibly special gym! 30 pounds lighter, a non-smoker, and 30 times stronger, these are the core values that we promise you our team will run this gym with!

Taylor is our Social Media chick, taking care of all things pretty and technological. Her goal is to show women of the okanagan all of the fun, interactive and intensely diverse activities that go on @ TWP... And welcome them to join in on the fun! 

She extremely passionate about Physical Fitness, Mental Wellness and Nutrition being equals. She believes in creating a balanced and healthy lifestyle that is both sustainable inside AND outside of the gym! Taylor is a smiling face at TWP always up for an open discussion regarding ambitions, challenges and change when it comes to training. She hopes her presence will help to encourage women to step outside of their comfort zones in the safe and fun community that IS TWP! 

After her Fitness Theory, Taylor completed her CFES WTI, Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Training certifications.

Taylor primarily teaches Indoor Cycle, HIIT and Small Group Training! She has a knack for increasing your heart rate with engaging intervals to keep you coming back for more!

However, she adores working one on one with clients, continually fascinated and passionate about movement and how individualized it is for each and everyone of us!

Brock was born and raised in Kelowna. He grew up with a passion for sports and fitness. And although, sports had briefly taken him away from the city he loved, he eventually found his way back home. Brock graduated from Okanagan College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He has worked in sales and finance. Brock has been a perfect fit with TWP Fitness, combining his enthusiasm of business with his passion of fitness. You can usually find Brock in the back-office crunching numbers.

Kailee received her Fitness Theory, Weight Training, and Personal Training certifications in 2011. She is passionate about helping others and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UBC Okanagan in 2012. Her philosophy reflects her education and she believes that exercise is a contributing factor to both physical as well as mental well being. She hopes through her work at TWP she can inspire other women to pursue their goals and find mental and physical health through a healthy, active lifestyle. In her 5 years in the fitness industry Kailee has continued her education and received certifications in Group Fitness, TRX, Barre, Spin and other specializations. She is committed to offering her clients effective programs suited to their abilities and goals.

Kaitlyn was a member at TWP for 5 years before joining the team. She was constantly inspired by the members and the staff, and she jumped at the chance to be able to work in such an encouraging environment! She is currently attending Okanagan College, taking courses to earn her Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate. Kaitlyn enjoys group fitness, travel, reading and spending time with her boyfriend and family.

This cutie has been running around TWP ever since her mom dropped her off at childminding when she was 4 years old. Since then she found her passion in sports, specifically soccer and field hockey. Through these sports she learned the importance of a fun and supportive team, which she found at TWP fitness! She is currently enrolled at UBCO majoring in English and History to become a teacher with hopes to teach abroad.

I am new to TWP, but it does not feel that way at all! I was so excited to get the chance to be a part of the team as it is such an uplifting environment and everyone has made me feel like family! I have done gymnastics and cheerleading my whole life and recently found a new love for golfing! (I'm not very good though) I love to travel,  spend time with my family and go on hikes with my two dogs!

Manda grew up in Nova Scotia where sport and physical activity has always been a fundamental part of her life. She took her interest and passion for sport and exercise further by completing a Kinesiology degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. After earning a BSc in Kinesiology, Manda moved to the United States to receive her teaching certification in physical education at the University of Maine in Presque Isle. She has taught at the high school level for three and half years, while working part time at Shock Conditioning where she was a personal trainer and instructed boot camps and yoga classes. Manda fell in love with everything the Okanagan has to offer and her visit inspired Manda to follow her heart and make the move to BC over two years ago. She is delighted to be part of the TWP team as our Head Personal Trainer. She enjoys sharing her energy and enthusiasm for active living with all of her students and clients. She loves to provide a challenge for clients and see them reach all of their goals and aspirations.

Leaving her career as a post-production supervisor in 2000 to start a family, Dawn enjoyed an urban Vancouver lifestyle before moving to Kelowna in 2004. When her youngest son was six months old, she began her personal fitness journey in earnest and became a CFES certified Personal Trainer.

Dawn’s experience in creating and delivering sport-specific, individual, and group training programs has given her a unique perspective on working smarter vs harder to achieve your goals. Committed to regular improvement and education, she routinely looks to study, understand, and implement the latest ideas and techniques in overall body health and fitness.

As a mother of five, Dawn regularly confronts the often harsh reality of trying to juggle health and fitness with the demands of home and family. Knowing the struggle and pitfalls faced by any busy mom has inspired her to help others find their personal balance and live a healthy, happy life.

Stephanie is a BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer and has been involved in the fitness industry since 1985.  She has an extended background in fitness as a personal trainer, fitness leader and Certified Functional Movement Screening professional. She is passionate about Group Fitness and Cycling. She loves to work with clients who are new to fitness or just getting back into the swing of things, whether younger or more mature.  She understands the process of setting goals, seeing it through and enjoying the journey along the way. Stephanie is an avid trail runner and has completed so many "ultras" that she has lost count.  Her most recent adventure took her to Europe where she ran for 8 days through 4 countries. You can also find Stephanie out enjoying her road bike where she has completed numerous 100k cycling events and multi-day cycling trips.

Denise has been a certified fitness professional working in the fitness industry for over twenty years.  While raising a busy family of four active boys in Montreal, she learned how to encourage, support and motivate each one to care for and believe in themselves to accomplish their goals.  She brings this same passion to her clients and continues to motivate, educate and inspire others to be active and to make healthy lifestyle choices.  

Denise enjoys working with baby boomers and beginners tailoring each program to specific needs providing a workout filled with a variety of challenges.  Specialty areas include:  Group Fitness, Personal Training, Spinning, Pilates, TRX, Bosu, Core Conditioning and Functional Training.
