Getting Started You have taken the first step in your new fitness plan... joining The Woman's Place Fitness Group. To help you make the most of your membership at our club we have designed this "Getting Started" information page. Where To Begin Whether you are new to fitness or just new to The Woman's Place we want to help guide you through the first few weeks of your membership to ensure that you feel comfortable and have an enjoyable experience each and every time you visit your club. Coaching Sessions We have qualified coaches to assist you with our equipment and programs. Coaching Sessions focus on:
Coaching sessions are reserved at the front desk and you can book as many sessions as you need to feel confident with your fitness program. We want you to feel successful and get results. Even if you are experienced with fitness training, we still encourage you to book a coaching session to become familiarized with The Woman's Place. Coaches are also available to answer any of your questions and/or concerns. Personal Training A personal trainer is the optimum choice for getting a program designed to meet your specific needs. With the purchase of a minimum of 3 personal training sessions you will receive a personalized fitness program and log book as well as expert training and guidance from one of our certified trainers. As a special bonus offer, every new member receives a one-time special offer to purchase training at a 15% discount (includes 3, 5, and 10 session packages). Group Fitness Classes At TWP we are proud to host an extensive and diverse group fitness program. Our class formats are designed to accommodate all fitness levels, goals and interests. Our dynamic team of certified instructors has the expertise and experience to lead fun, effective and safe classes for all levels of participants. From cardio based classes, to strength and mind/body programs, the TWP group fitness program has something for everyone! Fitness Assessment This Canadian Standardized Fitness Assessment, conducted by one of our certified Personal Trainers, will provide you with a starting point from which you can measure future improvements in your physical fitness. It will also help you to generate ideas and action plans to help you live a healthier, more active lifestyle. FIRST ASSESSMENT FREE FOR MEMBERS Locker Room We provide all of our members with 2 options for the use of lockers at The Woman's Place. Locker Rentals... For as little as $5 a month, you can rent your own locker and have your personal items ready and waiting for you at the club. Day Use Lockers... We have a number of lockers reserved for members to use when they are in the club. Simply pass us your car keys when you check in at the front desk and we will give you a key to use for the lockers. |
Traveling The Woman's Place is an IHRSA member club providing our members with the opportunity to visit clubs in other cities for a discounted guest fee. The IHRSA Passport Program is the Fitness Industry's largest and most highly esteemed reciprocal-access guest program allowing members of participating IHRSA clubs to workout when traveling to other participating clubs worldwide. To pick up your IHRSA card and to find out where other IHRSA clubs are located contact the front desk member consultants. Parking During the peak hours, the parking lot can be a busy place. If you are having trouble finding a place to park in our parking lot. there is plenty of space available in the Trinity Baptist Church parking lot next door. In consideration of our neighbouring businesses we ask that our members do not park directly in front of their businesses during working hours. Checking-In All members are required to check-in at the front desk when they arrive. Key tag members are asked to "swipe" their tag each time they come in. Student punch card members must also check in with the front desk member consultants. What To Wear We suggest that you wear comfortable exercise clothing that does not restrict your movement or cause you to overheat while exercising. Shoes Clean, indoor, athletic shoes must be worn at all times (mind/body classes exempt) while exercising at The Woman's Place. Absolutely no bare feet, sock feet or sandals will be permitted when using the exercise equipment. Workout Towel A small workout towel is required when using equipment and in the group fitness classes. Forget your towel? Ask the front desk about our towel service. Guest Privileges TWP members are invited to bring in guests at anytime to try out our facility and programs. Guests must be local residents and can access a complimentary visit. The same guest can access a complimentary guest membership only once every 6 months.
